| 表面の説明 | Armored knight advancing to the right, depicted in profile, bearing a raised sword in the right hand and a large shield at the left side. The figure is rendered in a bold, schematic style typical of 13th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced Pfennig coinage. The design fills the irregular flan with minimal field remaining. No legend or inscription is present. |

Ottokar II seized the Duchy of Austria in 1251 by marrying the much older Margarete of Babenberg following the extinction of that dynasty's male line, and these small bracteate-style pfennigs were struck throughout his aggressive expansion into the Alpine territories. His rule over Austria ended abruptly in 1276 when Rudolf of Habsburg forced him to surrender the duchy — a humiliation Ottokar refused to accept, leading directly to his death at the Battle on the Marchfeld in 1278.
