正面描述 An overall orange wave-pattern underprint fills the field, enclosed within a decorative scalloped border in orange and black. At centre, a dark green guilloche oval carries the denomination "Ein Pfennig" in bold Gothic (Fraktur) script, with numeral "1" cartouches at the upper corners. Below the oval, the issuing authority name appears in Gothic script, accompanied by two facsimile manuscript signatures, a serial number, the series designation "Reihe IV," and the printer's imprint along the lower margin.

备注

Glogau's municipal notgeld program of 1919 leaned heavily on its local printer, Carl Flemming A.G., a firm better known for cartographic and geographic publishing than currency work. The wavy orange underprint on this 1 Pfennig piece was a straightforward anti-counterfeiting measure — at a denomination this low, the real threat was bulk forgery for accumulation rather than single-note fraud.

Silesian municipal notgeld from this period was often redeemed and destroyed within months of issue, once regional coin supplies stabilized. Glogau itself would remain a German city until 1945, when it was besieged, largely destroyed, and transferred to Poland as Głogów.
