Lamprecht von Brunn held the see of Bamberg from 1374 until his death in 1399, a tenure marked by persistent conflict with the Hohenzollern burgraves of Nuremberg over territorial rights along the Regnitz corridor. These small bracteate-style pfennigs were struck under episcopal authority at a moment when Bamberg's mint was actively competing with secular coinage flooding the same regional markets.
