Reverse description A plain cross divides the field into four quadrants; in the upper-left angle appears the letter A, in the upper-right a pellet, in the lower-left a pellet, and in the lower-right the letter V (or numerals), consistent with the identification markers used on medieval episcopal pfennigs of the Paderborn series. The cross extends to a beaded inner border, beyond which the bishop's name legend runs in Latin along the outer periphery of the coin.
