| 备注 |
The Banco Argentino was one of several provincial commercial banks operating in Rosario during the 1860s, a period when Argentina had no central bank and note-issuing rights were effectively distributed among private institutions chartered at the provincial level. The denomination in Pesos Plata Boliviana — Bolivian silver pesos — reflects how thoroughly that coin dominated commercial transactions in the interior provinces at the time, particularly along the Paraná river trade routes. Federal Argentine currency was not yet a practical reality.
The American Bank Note Company in New York was printing for a substantial roster of South American issuers by this date. PS1531 is among the earlier Argentine provincial commissions they handled.
