Obverse description Central field features the arms of Honduras: the national coat of arms enclosed within a beaded inner circle, depicting a triangular device containing a landscape with mountains, a rising sun, and a fortified tower, flanked by a quiver of arrows and a cornucopia on either side. Above the inner circle, two flags are crossed behind a mural crown, while tropical foliage and additional symbolic elements fill the outer field. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS runs around the inner circle, with the fineness 0.900, the date, and the denomination UN PESO inscribed in the lower outer field. The engraver's name FRENER is visible in the lower portion of the design.
