| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield quartered with a royal palm, a rising sun over a key, and blue-and-white stripes, surmounted by a Phrygian cap on a pole and flanked by sprays of oak and laurel bound at the base. The curved legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery, while two five-pointed stars flank the wreath at the sides. The denomination 1 PESO appears in large characters along the lower rim. |
