The Gobierno Provisional de México was Victoriano Huerta's administration, which issued a large volume of paper currency in 1914 as the federal government struggled to finance military operations against the Constitutionalist forces of Carranza, Villa, and Zapata. Huerta fell in July of that year, and within months the revolutionary factions were actively discrediting and refusing Huertista paper. Merchants followed suit rapidly.
Notes from this series were effectively demonetized before the ink had time to age. Survivors in any circulated state are common precisely because so many were rejected and hoarded rather than spent.
