| Reverse description | Brown intaglio print on plain paper ground, dominated by an elaborate guilloche framework with four quatrefoil corner ornaments each bearing the denomination numeral. A large central oval medallion contains the vignette of a Mexican one-peso coin reverse — the sunburst cap-and-rays cap of liberty — surrounded by the legend REPUBLICA MEXICANA, itself enclosed within concentric engine-turned bands. Two smaller oval cartouches flanking the centre carry the text legend in two parts, and two red circular validation seals are applied in the upper left and upper right areas. |
