| Obverse description | The obverse carries the bold central inscription UN PESO FUERTE within a dark horizontal band, above which the issuer's name BANCO PROVINCIAL DE SANTA-FÉ appears in large serif lettering. The upper portion bears the place and date ROSARIO, 1° de Setiembre 1874, a serial number in the upper left, and a circular vignette at upper center, while a small vignette of a horse-drawn carriage is positioned at the right margin. Guilloche borders and repeated denomination numeral ornaments frame the note on all sides, with the text Pagará a la vista y al portador and a manuscript signature completing the composition. |
