| Descripción del anverso | The obverse bears a counterstamp consisting of the obverse design of the Guatemalan 1/2 Real of 1894, applied to a host coin whose own obverse depicts the national coat of arms. The host coin's coat of arms is accompanied by fineness inscriptions and the date 1894 in the exergue, while the counterstamp superimposes a smaller coat of arms device, framed by the legend LIBERTAD and the date 15 DE SEPTIEMBRE DE 1821, alongside a fineness notation of 0.835 for the host and 0.900 for the counterstamp. Both designs share the field, with the counterstamp impression clearly distinguishable from the underlying host coin design. |

| Descripción del reverso | The reverse of the host coin presents an allegorical figure of Justice seated, holding a balance scale in her left hand and a cornucopia in her right, with her arm resting upon a representation of the Constitution. The surrounding legend reads REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA with the date 30 DE JUNIO DE 1871, and the denomination UN PESO appears in the lower field. The counterstamp applied to this side reproduces the reverse of the 1894 1/2 Real, also depicting the Justice motif with the legend REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA, the date 30 DE JUNIO DE 1871, and the value 1/2 REAL. The engraver's name LAGRANGE is incused beneath the seated figure on both the host coin and counterstamp impressions. |
