Descrizione del rovescio	A facing bust portrait of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes, Cuban independence hero and initiator of the Ten Years' War, is depicted in high relief at the center of the field. The subject is shown with shoulder-length hair, a mustache, and a goatee, dressed in a period military jacket with a bow tie. The curved legend CARLOS MANUEL DE CÉSPEDES arcs along the upper periphery. The dates 1868 and 1977 flank the portrait in the mid-field to the left and right respectively, with two five-pointed stars below them. The inscription GRITO DE YARA is positioned along the lower periphery, commemorating the famous proclamation of Cuban independence.
