Beschrijving voorzijde The Cuban national arms occupy the central field, depicting a shield charged with a key between two capes and a rising sun over a seascape, surmounted by a Phrygian cap on a staff, and flanked by an oak branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right. The legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters, while the denomination I PESO appears in the lower field beneath the shield. The design is executed in moderate relief on a smooth field, consistent with standard Cuban coinage of the period.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse features a centrally placed circular color insert depicting Anne Bonny, the historical Caribbean pirate, rendered as a full-length figure in period costume — an open green coat, yellow breeches, red sash, and knee-high boots — holding a cutlass and gazing over her shoulder, with tall-masted sailing vessels visible on the sea behind her. The name ANNE BONNY is inscribed in raised letters across the upper portion of the colored insert. The outer ring of the coin carries the legend PIRATAS DEL CARIBE arcing along the upper periphery, flanked by two five-pointed stars at either side of the lower field, with the date 1995 appearing at the bottom. The contrasting polished border ring and vivid polychrome enamel insert give the piece a distinctive commemorative character.
