Opmerkingen

Mendoza's provincial notes of 1914 were issued under emergency authorization as the outbreak of war in Europe choked the flow of coin and created acute small-denomination shortages across Argentina's interior provinces. The national government tolerated these quasi-fiscal emissions rather than endorsed them — a legal grey area that several provinces exploited simultaneously that year.

PS2087 is among the scarcer of the Mendoza provincials. Most examples that have survived show heavy handling, which reflects actual street circulation rather than treasury hoarding.
