Descrizione del dritto	The obverse is dominated by a central vignette of an ox-drawn cart loaded with goods, rendered in fine intaglio engraving, flanked on either side by large ornamental numeral «1» panels set within intricate guilloche rosettes. The bank title «BANCO INTERNACIONAL» appears in bold letterpress across the upper border, with the place and date inscription «Bogotá 15 de Diciembre de 1884» in the upper field. The lower portion carries the bearer clause «Pagará al portador UN PESO en moneda corriente» along with signature lines for the Director Segundo and Director Gerente, with an oval «Banco Nacional» overprint stamp visible at center-right.

Descrizione del rovescio	The reverse is printed in a single dark green tone and composed almost entirely of elaborate guilloche lacework and ornamental cornerpiece vignettes, with a central oval panel bearing the text «BANCO INTERNACIONAL» in large script lettering over a handwritten signature for the Ministro del Tesoro. A lengthy legal text inscription runs across the upper border, and a further inscription «MIEMBROS DE LA JUNTA DE AMISION» appears in the lower field, with the printer's imprint «AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY, NEW YORK» at the bottom margin.
