Obverse description Plain rectangular note with a simple ruled border and dotted guilloche band at top and bottom. The central area carries the denomination UN PESO in bold letterpress at upper left, flanked by the Argentine national coat of arms — a radiant sun above an oval cartouche with clasped hands — with a handwritten serial number to the right. Below, a five-line Spanish text in cursive script reads the promise to pay, followed by the issuing authority line POR LOS DIRECTORES Y COMP., and two bold manuscript signatures above the CAJA DE legend at foot. The heading BANCO NACIONAL appears in a ruled panel at the very top of the note.

Reverse description No image of the reverse is available; the reverse is presumed plain or unprinted, consistent with early Argentine provincial banknote production of the 1820s.
