| 背面描述 | The municipal coat of arms of Yabucoa dominates the central field, depicting a shield bearing two standing angelic figures flanking a central element, surmounted by a mural crown with battlements. Flanking the shield are decorative foliate branches. The municipal name "Yabucoa" arcs across the upper legend, while the foundation year "1793" appears to the left and the serial number "#30" to the right of the shield. The lower legend reads "La Ciudad del Azúcar" (The Sugar City), the historic epithet of the municipality. |

Yabucoa is a municipality on Puerto Rico's southeastern coast, historically the center of the island's sugar industry — its last operating mill, the Central Lafaytte, closed in the 1980s after nearly a century of continuous production. This piece belongs to a commemorative municipal series issued under Puerto Rico's commonwealth administration, each coin honoring a distinct municipality. The series drew on the Spanish colonial peseta as a nominal unit, a deliberate nod to pre-1898 coinage before American annexation ended Puerto Rico's brief experiment with autonomous monetary administration.
