正面描述 Printed in red and blue, the note is framed by a geometric border with the coat of arms of the Spanish Republic positioned to the left. The central field carries the municipal authority's payment obligation in letterpress text. The overall layout follows the austere typographic style typical of Spanish Civil War municipal emergency issues.

背面描述 Printed in black and blue, the reverse presents a linear geometric frame enclosing the central vignette of the crowned coat of arms of the Spanish Republic. Denomination and issuing authority inscriptions are rendered in plain letterpress, consistent with the utilitarian production standards of wartime municipal scrip.

备注

Pliego is a small municipality in Murcia, and like hundreds of Spanish towns during the Civil War, it issued its own emergency paper currency in 1937 when the Republic's central supply of small coinage dried up almost entirely. These local fractional notes — cartones, as they were commonly called — were produced under wildly varying conditions, sometimes by local printers with rudimentary equipment, sometimes by hand-stamped card stock. The Ayuntamiento had no formal banking authority; the notes circulated purely on local trust and were theoretically redeemable against future coinage that, for many municipalities, never arrived.

The Gari Morera catalogue remains the essential reference for Republican municipal emissions, and the -B suffix here indicates a distinct variety within the type — likely a color, paper, or typographic variant from the primary emission.
