| 备注 |
Ibros is a small municipality in the province of Jaén, Andalusia, and like hundreds of similarly sized Spanish towns it issued its own emergency fractional currency during the Civil War years of 1936–1939. The Nationalist blockade and Republican requisitioning simultaneously drained metallic coinage from circulation, forcing local governments — ayuntamientos — to fill the gap with paper scrip backed by nothing more than municipal authority and local trust.
The handstamp security feature is characteristic of the most rudimentary end of this emergency issue spectrum: a rubber or wooden stamp applied to otherwise unprotected paper, the closest thing to authentication available to a town hall operating under wartime conditions. Gari's cataloguing of this as 779-C suggests multiple variants exist within the Ibros municipal series.
