| Description de l’avers | Facing bust of King Henry II in a crude, stylised manner characteristic of the Tealby coinage, depicting the king wearing a crown with three visible points or fleurs. The king holds a sceptre in his right hand, the shaft extending downward across the field. The portrait is rendered in the bold but somewhat rough relief typical of mid-12th-century English hammered coinage. A partial Latin legend reading HENRI REX surrounds the bust. The flan is irregular and slightly ragged at the edges, consistent with hand-cut blanks of the period. |

| Description du revers | Central cross pattée with a small annulet or pellet at the centre, enclosed within a raised inner circle. Each quarter of the inner circle contains a trefoil or floral ornament, a design motif characteristic of the Tealby class B penny reverse. A partial Latin legend naming the moneyer and mint surrounds the inner circle, reading +HENRII:ON:S;EDM, identifying the moneyer Henry operating at the Bury St Edmunds mint. The flan is irregularly shaped, with the legend partially visible due to the limitations of hand-struck production. |
