Obverse description Purely typographic design within a plain flat field, enclosed by an inner beaded border and an outer milled rim. The merchant's name appears in two lines at centre: 'O. H.' above 'HEDBERG' in large serifed capital letters, flanked above and below by small lozenge-shaped ornaments. The surrounding circular legend reads 'OIL & COLOR STORES' at the top and 'ARGYLE ST HOBART TOWN' at the bottom, all in raised serifed capitals separated by raised dots serving as stops.
