| Popis rubu | The coat of arms of Jamaica occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield with five pineapples arranged in cross formation, supported by a male and female indigenous Taino figure flanking either side. A crocodile passant surmounts the crest above the shield. The denomination ONE PENNY is inscribed vertically along the left and right margins respectively, with JAMAICA arching across the top of the field. The date is divided on either side of the shield, with '19' to the left and the final two digits to the right. A ribbon scroll at the base of the arms bears the motto INDUS UTERQUE SERVIET UNI, partially visible as UTERQUE SERVIET. A beaded outer border frames the design. |
