Reverse description Plain field bearing a centrally positioned two-line inscription FOR PUBLICK ACCOMMODATION arranged across the die, with ornamental cross or floral stops flanking the legend on either side. The text is rendered in bold capital letters in the Latin script, characteristic of Manx emergency and tradesmen's token issues of the early nineteenth century. The overall design is typographic in character, with no figurative device, emphasising the token's utilitarian commercial purpose.
