| Opis rewersu | A bold voided long cross pattée extends to the full edges of the flan, dividing the reverse into four quarters, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular formation, giving a total of twelve pellets. A small rose or central boss appears at the intersection of the cross arms. The surrounding legend, broken by the cross terminals, reads CIVI TAS DON OLI in the standard divided format of medieval English pennies, identifying Durham as the place of issue. The design follows the established Yorkist penny type of the Light coinage series. |
