| 裏面の説明 | The denomination is displayed prominently in two lines at the centre of the field, with the numeral 1 above and PENNY below in bold Roman capitals. An oak branch rises on the left and a laurel branch on the right, the two sprigs converging at the base and tied with a decorative ribbon bow to form a wreath encircling the denomination. A small ornamental separator device — a dash, central pellet, and dash — appears immediately below PENNY. The mintmark V is incuse at the very base of the field within the wreath. The entire design is framed by a continuous inner beaded border. |
