The Coat of Arms of Fiji appears as a vignette at centre-left within the underprint, accompanied by the legend FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF FIJI and three manuscript signatures above the printed text COMMISSIONERS OF CURRENCY. At right, a circular vignette reproduces the obverse of the Fiji penny coin, with the crowned royal cypher and the legend KING GEORGE VI EMPEROR encircling the coin's central hole.
