| Descrizione del rovescio | A voided long cross with crescent or pellet tips extends to the inner border, dividing the field into four quarters, each containing segments of a two-line Latin legend recording the moneyer's name and mint. The cross arms terminate in distinctive crescent-shaped finials with pellet ornaments, a design element typical of Danish pennings of the mid-11th century. The legend is distributed around the cross in the four quadrants, naming the moneyer and the mint of Lund. The die work is bold and irregular, consistent with hand-hammered Viking-Age coinage. |
