| Reverse description | The reverse displays a bold multi-line Persian/Urdu inscription in Nastaliq script filling the entire field, recording the name and titles of Maharaja Madho Singh II of Jaipur together with the regnal year. The text is arranged in three horizontal registers separated by ruled lines, with clusters of pellets flanking the left side as decorative punctuation. The legend is struck in high relief, exhibiting the characteristic slightly uneven strike of the Jaipur local mint. This epigraphic type, devoid of figurative imagery, conforms to the Mughal-derived coinage tradition maintained by the Jaipur state throughout the colonial period. |
