Reverse description Reverse displays the Shahada in bold Arabic Naskh script arranged across the flan in two registers, separated by a horizontal line dividing the field. The upper register bears the first part of the profession of faith, and the lower register carries the second part affirming the prophethood of Muhammad. The calligraphy is robust and deeply struck, consistent with the hammered technique of Suri imperial coinage, with the legend occupying the majority of the coin's surface and extending nearly to the irregular rim.
