| Obverse description | The Virgin Mary enthroned on a pedestal, holding the Christ Child, with Saint Mark the Evangelist standing at left presenting the doge to the Madonna. Doge Francesco Loredan kneels in devotion at right in ceremonial robes. The mintmaster's initials appear in the exergue. The surrounding Latin legend names the doge in abbreviated form. The composition is rendered in the elaborate baroque style characteristic of Venetian oselle coinage. |

| Reverse description | A six-line Latin dedicatory inscription within an ornate baroque cartouche of scrolling acanthus foliage, strapwork, and shell motifs, surmounted by a floral finial. The inscription records the name of the doge, his title as Prince of Venice, the word MVNVS (gift), the regnal year AN.I (Anno Primo), and the date 1752 at the base. The entire composition is characteristic of the highly decorative reverse treatment traditional to Venetian gold oselle presentation pieces. The reeded border frames the elaborate design. |
