| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field displays the crowned coat of arms of Holland, featuring a rampant lion within a shield surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is superimposed over a cross with forked tips extending toward the coin's edge. The peripheral legend, struck in Latin, encircles the design and reads .PHS. D:G. COM. HOL. Z. ZEL., identifying Philip II as Count of Holland and Zeeland.
