| Obverse description | Central field features the arms of Peru — a quartered shield displaying a vicuña, a cinchona tree, and a cornucopia, surmounted by a civic wreath — flanked by two laurel branches tied at the base. Surrounding the central coat of arms, eight miniature reproductions of historic Ibero-American national coats of arms or coin types are arranged in a ring around the inner border, representing participating nations of the Ibero-American series. The circular legend reads BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ along the upper arc and UN NUEVO SOL along the lower arc, with the date 2010 in the exergue beneath the shield. The entire design is executed in high-relief proof finish against a deeply mirrored field. |

| Reverse description | Central motif is a faithful high-relief reproduction of the colonial Spanish macuquina (cob) coin, depicting two crowned Pillars of Hercules rising from stylized waves, with the mintmark P and assayer's initial flanking the central design, and the motto PLVS VLTRA on a scroll between the pillars. The legend encircling this central macuquina device reads NVM REXONIARVM ET INDIARVM in archaic Latin around the inner ring. The outer border legend reads MONEDAS HISTÓRICAS VIII SERIE IBEROAMERICANA along the upper arc and LA MACUQUINA along the lower arc. The proof fields provide a deeply mirrored contrast to the finely detailed frosted devices. |
