| Obverse description | Central field features the arms of Peru — a quartered shield displaying a vicuña, a cinchona tree, and a cornucopia, surmounted by a civic wreath — flanked by two laurel branches tied at the base. Surrounding the central coat of arms, eight miniature reproductions of historic Ibero-American national coats of arms or coin types are arranged in a ring around the inner border, representing participating nations of the Ibero-American series. The circular legend reads BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ along the upper arc and UN NUEVO SOL along the lower arc, with the date 2010 in the exergue beneath the shield. The entire design is executed in high-relief proof finish against a deeply mirrored field. |
