The circular legend BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA DEL PERÚ arcs around the upper periphery, while the date 1997 is inscribed along the lower border. Fineness and weight notations 33.625 g and 0.925 Ag are incused in the lower left and right fields respectively. The denomination UN NUEVO SOL is inscribed in two lines curving along the upper periphery, left and right of the central device. Below the sunburst, the legend ANIVERSARIO and the issuer abbreviation BCRP appear in two lines, with the commemorative date span 1922-1997 flanked by two raised dots inscribed along the lower border, marking the 75th anniversary of the Banco Central de Reserva del Perú. The proof finish produces a sharp contrast between the mirror fields and the frosted high-relief design elements. |
