Reverse description	The left half carries a vignette of an elephant in profile rendered in fine line engraving against a crosshatch guilloche ground, while the right half presents a large ornamental medallion enclosing the numeral "1" within an elaborate scalloped cartouche. A five-line cautionary inscription in Vietnamese warning against counterfeiting under government decree occupies the upper centre, and the denomination legend "GIÂY MỘT ĐỒNG" is set in a plain rectangular panel at bottom centre. Corner numerals "1" appear in each angle, and the entire composition is enclosed within a meander-pattern border.
