正面描述 At center, the State Emblem of Israel — a menorah flanked by olive branches — appears in the field above the face value '1 NEW SHEQEL' in English and 'שקל חדש' in Hebrew. The legend 'ISRAEL / ישראל / إسرائيل' in Latin, Hebrew, and Arabic script encircles the design, with the mint year '2005' and Hebrew calendar year 'התשסה' also inscribed. Below the emblem, stylized musical staff lines embellish the field, accompanied by the inscription 'Naomi Shemer' and a floral motif, commemorating the celebrated Israeli songwriter.

附加信息

Naomi Shemer, who died in June 2004, was commemorated with this issue the following year — a rapid turnaround reflecting the depth of her cultural standing in Israel. She is best known internationally for "Jerusalem of Gold," written weeks before the Six-Day War in 1967 and performed by Shuli Natan at the Israel Song Festival in May of that year. When Israeli paratroopers reached the Western Wall days later, the song became inextricably bound to the moment, though Shemer herself later acknowledged borrowing the melody from a Basque lullaby recorded by Paco Ibáñez.
