Beschrijving voorzijde Central square hole flanked by the four-character legend of the Sangpyeong Tongbo coinage, arranged in cruciform fashion around the perforation in the traditional Chinese reading order: 常 (Sang) at top, 平 (Pyong) at bottom, 通 (Tong) at right, and 寶 (Bo) at left, all rendered in regular script (kaishu) within a plain circular border. The inscription translates as 'Ever-Normal Circulating Treasure,' referencing the Joseon Dynasty's Sangpyeongcheong (Ever-Normal Bureau). The characters are cleanly cast in low relief against a flat field.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central square hole surrounded by the mint and series markings arranged in cruciform order around the perforation: 捴 (Chong, denoting the General Military Office) at top, the series number 十 (ten) at bottom, and a crescent-shaped symbol at the left position, all cast in regular script against a flat field. The crescent mark serves as a mint or furnace identifier, while the numeral beneath the central perforation indicates the issue series. The reverse inscription and symbols are rendered in crisp low relief consistent with Joseon-period cash coin casting practice.
