| Beschrijving voorzijde | Cast bronze cash coin bearing four Chinese characters arranged in cruciform reading order around a central square perforation. The upper and lower characters read 常平 (Sangpyeong), identifying the Sangpyeong Tongbo series issued under the Joseon Dynasty's Office for Price Stabilization. The right and left characters read 通寶 (Tongbo), the standard designation for circulating currency. All inscriptions are rendered in regular script (kaishu) with clear, well-defined strokes typical of Joseon-period cast coinage. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is arranged around the central square perforation with four Chinese characters in cruciform order. The mint mark 開 (Kae), denoting the Kaesong Township Military Office (開城管理營), appears at the upper position. The character 天 (Cheon, meaning 'heaven'), indicating the first positional tier of the series denomination system, appears at the lower position. Serial series numbers appear to the left and right of the perforation, identifying the specific issue within the Kaesong mint's production run. All characters are cast in traditional regular script consistent with Joseon Dynasty cash coin conventions. |
