Reverse description Round cast copper coin with a central square perforation enclosed by an inner square rim. Three Chinese characters are disposed around the central hole: 戶 (Ho, meaning Treasury Department) appears above the hole, identifying the issuing mint; 十 (ten, indicating series number 10) appears to the left; and 洪 (Hong, meaning Flood, denoting the issue type) appears below. The recessed field shows the characteristic granular surface of sand-cast coinage typical of the Joseon period.
