| Beschrijving voorzijde | Cast copper cash-type coin featuring a central square perforation surrounded by a raised square rim. Four large Chinese characters in regular script (kaisho) are arranged in the four cardinal positions around the central hole, to be read clockwise: 富 (top), 壽 (right), 神 (bottom), 寳 (left), together forming the auspicious legend 富壽神寳 — 'Divine treasure of wealth and long life.' The characters are boldly rendered in relief against a flat field, with a raised outer rim encircling the entire obverse. The overall style reflects the classical East Asian cast coin tradition of the early Heian period. |
