Reverse description Centrally placed cartouche in Nasta'liq script set within an irregular cloud-shaped or lobate surround, raised in high relief against a plain, granular gold field. The cartouche contains the mint name inscription denoting the sacred city of Mashhad as the place of issue. The surrounding field is largely plain and slightly domed, consistent with the flan preparation typical of Afsharid hammered mohurs struck at Mashhad.
