| Popis rubu | The reverse is divided into two principal registers of Nasta'liq script by a raised horizontal line bisecting the field. The upper register carries a large, boldly struck legend identifying the mint name Shahjahanabad, while the lower register records the regnal year (expressed in Hijri numerals) and the Islamic year of striking. Small decorative pellets and floral ornaments appear in the margins, a hallmark of Mughal Shahjahanabad mint production. The deeply hammered lettering and slightly uneven flan edges are consistent with hand-struck Mughal mohurs of the period. |
