(Translation: auspicious coin of the warrior king Alamgir)
Reverse description The reverse displays a three-line Persian Nastaliq inscription occupying the full field, reading 'zarb Mumbai sanat 9 julus maimanat manus' ('struck at Mumbai, year 9 of the auspicious reign'). Decorative pellet clusters and dot ornaments fill the spaces between and around the lines of text, a hallmark of Bombay Presidency Mughal-style coinage. A plain linear border encircles the legend, and the edge of the flan shows the slightly uneven profile characteristic of hammered manufacture. The calligraphy is bold and deeply struck, with the mint name 'Mumbai' clearly legible in the lower register. The overall style faithfully continues the Mughal imperial coinage tradition as adapted by the Bombay Presidency.
