| Reverse description | Central motif depicting a stylized sword or trident (possibly a khadga or trishula) flanked by ritual vessels, set within a raised circular inner border. Surrounding the central circle, an elaborate field of interlocking swastika meanders and stepped fretwork forms a decorative frame, a common auspicious motif in Newar sacred art. Devanagari legends are distributed around the field between the geometric ornaments, with floral or pellet clusters filling residual spaces. The outer rim is defined by a finely executed rope or cable border, consistent with hammered Malla-period silver coinage of Patan. |
