The legend reads the profession of faith affirming the unity of God, the prophethood of Muhammad, and the guardianship (wilayat) of Ali, consistent with standard Safavid Twelver Shi'a coinage iconography. The Arabic script is executed in a bold Naskh hand, with individual letter forms clearly separated despite the irregular flan. The surface shows natural die wear and slight flan cracking at the edges, typical of the hammered technique employed at the Kashan mint during this period. |
