Obverse description Hammered gold flan bearing a multi-line Arabic legend arranged within a rectangular cartouche divided by a horizontal rule, set against a textured field. The upper register contains a devotional formula proclaiming the ruler's servitude to the Imam, while the lower register carries the royal titles and name of Sultan Abu'l-Muzaffar Muhammad Padshah ibn Tahmasp al-Husayni. The mint name Kashan (ضرب کاشان) appears at the base of the inscription. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular, slightly scalloped edge typical of Safavid hammered gold coinage. The script is bold Naskh, deeply struck with considerable relief.
