| Mô tả mặt trước | Central field depicts a stylized standing figure, likely a royal or divine personification, shown frontally between two elongated vertical pillars or standards. Above the figure appears a horizontally oriented oval or cartouche-like device, possibly a Sinhalese symbol of royal authority. A crescent or scroll motif is visible to the upper right of the field, and a floral or sun-burst ornament occupies the lower right. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. The inscription reads 'Śrī Parākramabāhu', invoking the royal name and honorific title of the issuing monarch. Individual aksharas are rendered in a robust, angular style typical of 13th-century Sri Lankan epigraphy. The legend is surrounded by a continuous beaded border consistent with the obverse. The hammered strike results in some irregularity of the coin's flan, characteristic of medieval Dambadeniya coinage. |
