Obverse description Central field depicts a stylized standing figure, likely a royal or divine personification, shown frontally between two elongated vertical pillars or standards. Above the figure appears a horizontally oriented oval or cartouche-like device, possibly a Sinhalese symbol of royal authority. A crescent or scroll motif is visible to the upper right of the field, and a floral or sun-burst ornament occupies the lower right. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. The execution is characteristic of medieval Sri Lankan hammered coinage, with bold, somewhat schematic relief.
