The central panel carries the serial number in red above the inscription 'NORDISCHEN', with the Kiel civic device — a cross-and-anchor emblem — at centre, and 'MESSE IN KIEL' beneath; the designer's signature 'C. Ornamental borders of stylised floral rosettes in yellow, orange, and blue frame the left and right margins. A Low German dialect motto 'WI MÜTT WIDDER IM VOLLDAMP VÖRUT' appears at lower left and a mirrored inscription at lower right; the bold legend 'NORDISCHE MESSE KIEL' runs across the lower centre, while the full validity and redemption text is printed along all four borders, including the redemption date of 15 October 1921 at the foot. |
