Blue-green guilloche underprint dominates the face, with three oval lozenges at centre and flanks enclosing the numeral '1' and the large Fraktur inscription 'Eine Mark.' The title 'Darlehenskassenschein' runs across the top in gothic script, the issuing authority 'Reichsschuldenverwaltung' below the date 'Berlin, den 12. August 1914', followed by five facsimile signatures. A red serial number is printed in the upper right corner, an embossed white eagle seal appears at lower left, and a red octagonal stamp of the Reichsschuldenverwaltung with a small imperial eagle is at lower right; a framed anti-counterfeiting warning legend occupies the lower portion. |
