| Beschrijving voorzijde | Crowned and draped bust of King Christian IV facing right, wearing armor with ornate embossed decoration and a ruff collar, the royal crown prominently displayed above his flowing hair. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the hammered style characteristic of early seventeenth-century Danish coinage. The portrait is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the circumscribed Latin legend reading CHRISTIAN IIII · D:G · DANIAE distributed around the periphery. The numeral IIII appears in the Roman style to the right of the crown. The field around the bust shows the fine granular texture typical of hammered silver of this period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field displays the crowned Danish coat of arms — three crowned lions passant within a shield, set within an ornate cartouche flanked by the date 16-06 divided on either side. Above the shield, the denomination inscription · I · MARCK DA | NS is arranged in two lines, with the abbreviation DANS referring to 'Dansk'. The entire central design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, surrounded by the continuation of the royal titulature legend in Latin: NORVEGIAE · VANDALORVM · GOTHORVM · Q · REX, identifying Christian IV as King of Norway, the Vandals, and the Goths. A trefoil or shamrock mint mark punctuates the end of the legend. The lettering and heraldic devices are characteristic of the hammered coinage of the Copenhagen Mint in the early Baroque period. |
